Job description
We are looking for a digital process automation specialist with expertise in e-commerce solutions (order processing automation, inventory management automation, customer relationship management automation, payment processing automation), which is a crucial role in our team at Cornerstone Building Brands. Join our team and revolutionize our digital transaction processes. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying opportunities to automate and enhance our customer-facing transactions and related workflows, contributing to cost savings and operational excellence.
DUTES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Automation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital process automation strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives
- Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes to identify automation opportunities, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- Technology Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools, software, and technologies to streamline workflows and automate tasks
- Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
- Workflow Automation: Develop, configure, and maintain automated workflows and processes using automation platforms, scripting languages, and robotic process automation (RPA) tools
- System Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate purchase order automation software with existing ERP systems, ensuring seamless data flow
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality checks of automated processes to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of automation solutions, including process flows, technical specifications, and user guides
- Training: Provide training to end-users and team members on the use of automation tools and processes
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor and maintain automation solutions, making updates and improvements as necessary to ensure optimal performance
- Vendor Communication: Facilitate communication with vendors to resolve purchase order discrepancies, delays, and other issues
- Reporting: Generate reports and analytics to track key performance indicators, monitor process improvements, and support decision-making
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensure that automated processes adhere to data security and compliance standards and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred) plus 5+ years relevant work experience
- Proven experience in digital process optimization
- Expert in automation tools and software, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotic process automation (RPA) and workflow management systems. (Automation Anywhere, UI Path, Microsoft)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining an overall project perspective for a variety of customer segments and brands
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Formal training or certification in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) preferred
- Experience with construction, architecture and/or manufacturing industries a plus
Additional information
This position has a virtual-first hybrid work arrangement with a preferred location in Houston, TX with a minimum of two days a week in the office or co-located with other team members.
