Job description
The primary responsibility for a Drafter 1 is to create complete and accurate detailing deliverables (drawings, shop details, BOMs, etc.) while maintaining high quality and on-time delivery in support of customer specific requirements. This role requires demonstrated knowledge of metal building products and standards, drafting processes, and detailing tools including AutoCAD and Tekla (desirable) while providing focus on product accuracy, on time delivery and added customer value.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrials, manufacturing, and/or building products preferred
- AutoCAD experience
- Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect software. Experience checking Tekla drawings and BOMs ( Desirable)
- Ability to adapt to an environment and work well with other
- Ability to learn document flow and follow detailed instructions
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to do basic calculations and Good command of trigonometry.
- Accuracy in creating and reviewing technical drawings.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to adapt to an environment and work well with other
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi tasks
- Full command of the US customary units system
- Budgeting experience is desired
- Bilingual English-Spanish (70% or more)
- Strong PC, Microsoft Office, and general technology competency
- Architectural drafting degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
