JOB DETAILS
Base Pay: $24.50-$30.60 per hour, plus $0.75 per hour shift differential
3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11 pm-7 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on manufacturing machinery. Perform basic to moderately complex electrical repairs and installations. Maintain motorized equipment. Perform basic to moderately complex grounds/facilities repairs, as required. Ability to recognize potential failures and use proactive approach prior to equipment failure. Ensure accuracy and safety in all operations.
- Diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns in plant machinery and equipment
- Perform routine and preventive/predictive maintenance on all machinery
- Perform basic to moderately complex electrical repairs and installations
- Maintain and repair motorized equipment
- Operate forklifts to transport heavy parts and equipment
- Coordinate maintenance of parts inventory with MRO and purchasing personnel
- Maintain grinders and saws including adjusting and replacing blades
- Fabricate metal parts (e.g. brackets) and perform welding as required
- Maintain work logs as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain supplies at workstation
- Use assigned timecard daily to accurately record time worked
- Attend weekly shift meetings and/or monthly plant meetings, if required
- Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location
- Notify department supervisor if proper tools are not furnished to complete job functions
- Perform grounds/facilities repairs, as required
Qualifications
- High School Graduate/GED
- Minimum of two years experience in industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance scheduling and implementation required
- Knowledge of basic carpentry and tooling
- Must have excellent mechanical aptitude
- Ability to learn basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with on-the-job training
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work with some limited supervision to perform job
- Position requires walking, standing, heavy lifting, bending, and twisting
- Must be able to work quickly with product and able to lift up to 50lbs on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and ability to team lift 87 to 100lbs, keep colors separate, and record weights accurately
- Must be skilled in working with hand and electrical tools
- Associate is frequently required to talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
- Work involves exposure to high voltage equipment and rapidly moving machinery
- Amp probe, basic hand tools, fork lift, hand power tools, O scope, OA torch, plasma cutter, soldering iron, volt meter, utility knife
- Hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes required
- Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals
- Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
- Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
- Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate’s performance appraisal
