Job description

The Marketing Coordinator supports customer engagement and operations activities to drive acquisition and retention in the Commercial Business Unit. This position is critical to creating exceptional customer experiences through the execution of key strategic programs as well as ensuring day-to-day customer needs are met through efficient and effective marketing operations. This position is supporting the Houston area.

Responsibilities:

Marketing and Operations

  • Executes all Business Unit fulfillment needs including printing literature and producing premiums; coordinates with key vendors and suppliers

  • Administers online fulfillment platform, ensuring timely updates and adequate inventory

  • Facilitates fulfillment site user access (internal and external) and assigned budget; coordinating communications as appropriate; troubleshoots user issues

  • Coordinates graphic design requests related to literature and premium updates and routes through approval channels

Customer Engagement

  • Supports execution of national events and customer programs, including registrations, communications, hospitality needs

  • Supports internal communication efforts to keep key customer and sales stakeholders informed of engagement programs, marketing processes and change management activities

  • Coordinates order and delivery of customer gifts, awards and welcome kits

Event Planning and Execution 

  • Manages regional and local trade show calendar and processes  
  • Approves requests for brand trade show assets  
  • Plans, coordinates and executes all events including customer events, in collaboration with Sales Department. 

Technology Support

  • Advises and supports sales team on processes and expectations, provides training as it related to marketing activities and processes 

  • As needed will conduct QA activities for branding, copy and digital marketing tactics

  • Generates process documentation and implements SOPs across all marketing areas, working with marketing SMEs

  • Supports governance of data, file structure and nomenclature, ensuring an organized filing system to support team efficiency

  • Researches and implements marketing technologies that support team efficiency and effectiveness

  • As needed, acts as a traffic coordinator for tasks related to key customer projects and programs using tools such as Asana, SharePoint and Planner

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in a marketing operations and event planning capacity 
  • Experience in handling issues around resource management, technology, and workflow processes

  • Communicating and building strong connections with cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of implementation and utilization of marketing technologies (CRM, marketing automation, workflow/project management, digital asset management/DAM)

  • Excellent multitasking, project management and communication skills

  • Critical thinker and problem-solver
