Job description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The most qualified person for this position will be self-motivated and value safety and efficiency. They will be responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of the manufacturing process.
This position will offer relocation assistance.
- Design and implement new equipment and parts to reduce failures and safety hazards while increasing the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process
- Develop a reporting system to track facility metrics and/or key performance indicators
- Perform root-cause analysis and preventative maintenance studies on equipment assets
- Design and/or source equipment to improve manufacturing processes
- Partner with Onsite and Corporate Engineering on capital projects as needed
- Assist research and development efforts to implement new products or processes
- Develop and maintain all necessary process and audit documentation (i.e. FMEA, Capability Studies, Capacity Models, etc.)
- Utilize continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. to design experimental techniques and capability studies
- Ensure adherence to City, State and Federal regulatory legislation (i.e: OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, etc.)
- Conduct market research and provide recommendations on new and emerging technologies in the industry
- Develop and implement short and long-term reliability goals and objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
- 1+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering, mathematical and statistical principles
- Experience working with AutoCAD or Inventor preferred
- Knowledge of MS Office applications required
- Minimal travel required
