Job Overview: As the Director of Marketing Communications at Cornerstone Building Brands - Aperture Solutions, you will be a key player in driving the division's brand strategy, product marketing, demand generation, and internal communications. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of marketing communications best practices and the ability to lead a dynamic team of marketers.  Apertures Solutions is looking to disrupt the windows and doors category with national distribution, superior quality, innovative new products and needs a top-quality marketer to help tell the story.

Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with the division's goals and market positioning
  2. Product Marketing: Oversee the creation and execution of impactful product marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  3. Demand Generation: Drive demand generation activities through innovative campaigns, digital marketing, and strategic partnerships
  4. Performance Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive performance marketing strategy aligned with business goals, utilizing channels such as digital advertising, SEO, SEM, and social media
  5. Campaign Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize digital campaigns to maximize ROI, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, click-through rates, and cost per acquisition
  6. Internal Communications: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communication strategy aligned with the division's objectives and values to enhance employee engagement, morale, and a sense of community within the organization
  7. Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of 3 marketers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture while growing the team to 5 over the next 18 months
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Operations, to ensure integrated marketing efforts
  9. Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies
  10. Communication Excellence: Ensure best in class communication across all channels, including digital, print, and events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in marketing roles within the building products or B2B2C markets
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing high-performing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing communications, brand development, and product marketing best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing plans
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Marketing experience in the building materials industry is a plus
  • Ability to work onsite at the Cary, NC office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
