Job description
Maintenance Technician III
Silver Line Windows & Doors in Lithia Springs, GA is the #1 manufacture of vinyl windows and doors. We were recently acquired by Ply Gem and NCI Building Systems, now called Cornerstone Building Brands, which positions us as the largest integrated manufacturer of metal building products for the commercial & residential market. Also, we have over 22,000 employees across 80 manufacturing, distribution and office locations in North America.
Base Pay: Highly Competitive (will discuss during phone screen)
1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
- Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
- Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
- Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
- Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
- Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
- Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
- Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
- Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
- Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
- Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
- Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
- Train Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associates degree in related field, or equivalent related experience
- 3-7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
- Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
- Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
- Ability to assist in Training Level I and II Technicians
- Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
- Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
- Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
