Job description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay:  $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Shift:  Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 5:30 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates Forklift to move pallets of materials and finished goods through the manufacturing process and facility. Assists manufacturing line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements.

  • Safely operate Forklift around Manufacturing site while maintaining awareness of surroundings and pedestrian traffic
  • Conduct daily forklift safety and maintenance checks and communicate any needed repairs to leadership and maintenance team
  • Safely and efficiently stack material according to guidelines to maintain product quality and reduce scrap/damage to materials and finished goods
  • Organize and prioritize daily activities
  • Exhibits professional attitude toward with coworkers and leadership
  • Understand how your role impacts other processes throughout the manufacturing process and our customers
  • Attend regular safety and compliance trainings and operations meetings
  • Know and understand performance goals and expectations including daily production volume targets as it applies to your role
  • Be inclusive of all employees by treating all coworkers with respect and professionalism
  • Clearly communicate any issues or concerns that you identify, with coworkers and/or leaders that may impact safety, quality or efficiency in a clear and respectful manner
  • Perform Stop Work Authority if an unsafe condition is identified
  • Adhere to all PPE requirements, including hard hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, respirator, and any other PPE that is required per task

Qualifications

Education 

  • High School Diploma/GED

Experience

  • Minimum 6 months prior Forklift experience required (2+ years experience preferred)
  • Previous Manufacturing environment experience preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Certified Forklift Operator
  • Basic Computer literacy
  • Basic Safety and Compliance knowledge

  • Communicate in both writing and verbally with customers, leadership and coworkers

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit/stand the duration of your shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment
