Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a highly motivated individual with a safety mindset and commitment to growth to join our Production Team.

  • As a valued member of our Production team, duties would include but not limited to assembling, fabricating, and inspecting windows and doors, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications while operating machinery and tools safely.
  • You will review orders, prep materials using power tools, hand tools, saws/automated welders.
  • You will assemble various parts of windows and doors, including frames, glass panel installation, hardware (hinges, locks, handles), and seals, sealed unit glazing, screen fit, assembly, packaging, and other various tasks. 
  • You will operate machinery and tools, such as saws, pneumatic drills, to fabricate and assemble components. 
  • You will inspect finished products for defects. You may also be involved in preparing products for shipment by labeling, packing, and loading.
  • You will be required to keep your workstation and surrounding area clean and organized which is essential for safety and efficiency. 
  • You will be required to follow direction of leadership and continuously verify quality through measurement.
  • You will adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 

Responsiblities 

  • Safely handle, move, and position products using appropriate equipment and material handling procedures.
  • Troubleshoot minor production issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Train and support new team members on assembly processes, quality requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate assembly line equipment and machinery to support efficient production and product quality.
  • Verify measurements and product specifications to ensure accurate assembly and compliance with customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a general labour, construction, or manufacturing environment is considered an asset (6 months to 1 year preferred).
  • Candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork are encouraged to apply; training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Basic English communication skills, with the ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively in the workplace.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing and regular lifting of materials weighing up to 50–70 lbs.
  • Experience safely using hand tools and power tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure.
  • Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and measurement calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada.
