Job Description

The Business Development Manager serves as the main point of contact for Cornerstone’s Strategic Customers (Builders). This role partners closely with internal teams and Regional Managers to deliver the full scope of customer needs — from project entry and estimation to business development. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for growing revenue, strengthening relationships, and enhancing customer experience while maintaining profitability.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

  • Identify established and emerging customers and market segments for Cornerstone Building Brands to target.
  • Partner with Regional Managers to drive regional performance and coverage of identified accounts and segments.
  • Build and execute strategic direction for assigned customers, maximizing resources to grow revenue and maintain profit levels.
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing contact for project entry, estimation, and key interactions throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (estimating, engineering, production, etc.) to ensure alignment with customer needs and enforce business initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously for multiple key accounts.
  • Work closely with internal resources to deliver the best possible customer experience.
  • Report current market trends, customer forecasts, and competitive insights to the Director of Corporate Accounts.
  • Participate in customer meetings, major project kick-offs, conferences, and internal team meetings, traveling as needed (approximately 25%, sometimes with short notice).

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales or sales support experience, including direct engagement with end owners, metal building erectors, architects, and engineers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable to maximize business opportunities as they arise.
  • Experience in a relevant B2B environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly organized, able to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to travel as required.

The US base salary range for this role is 120K-150K annually + Bonus + $750 monthly car allowance + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
