Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer position responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating prices, and maintaining inventory levels to support efficient manufacturing operations. Additional duties include best practice & communication methods for re-orders, quality rejects, while simultaneously building and maintaining relationships with internal customers. This dynamic position will coordinate his/her efforts with Operations – from Receiving to Shipping to expedite & ensure seamless execution and customer centric across the different commodities added to the workload.
- Two years of post-secondary education
- Minimum of two years of experience in operations or purchasing role
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to promote communication and positive working relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Knowledge of window and door manufacturing processes and materials considered an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
