Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibility of the Delivery Coordinator is to ensure and drive the coordination and tracking of all building orders, component orders, and related buyout items in order to meet customer expectations for complete and on-time delivery.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with planner’s customer delivery request.
  • Manage upcoming delivery schedules for associated orders.
  • Align outside vendor phase deliveries with purchasing and vendor.
  • Communicate Fab schedules with customers / builders 30 days prior fab start date.  
  • Work with internal sales and manager in communicating any fab start issues.
  • Three weeks minimum prior ship, onsite dates must be communicated to the customer for all job sequence phases. 
  • Promptly and professionally respond to all Customer, Builder and District Sales Manager inquiries.
  • Promptly analyze and discuss with Customers and Builders the cost and scheduling impact of potential fab/ shipment delays. Work with other internal teams to establish costs.
  • Work with CSR/ PM to create a change order if extra costs to the customer are updated on the order.
  • Communicate any backordered material to the customer as soon as you are notified from the plant or purchasing.
  • Work with customers to arrange any backordered material deliveries.
  • Work with purchasing and vendors for proof of shipment documents for buyout direct shipments.
  • Phase completions must be performed daily and in a timely manner.
  • Promptly respond to invoicing on billing concerns.
  • Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Continually improve understanding of Cornerstone Building Brands Products and Procedures.
  • Be a creative, positive partner with personnel in other departments to provide the required level of service to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • The ability to communicate and work effectively with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and prioritize work
  • Strong customer service skills

Education/Additional Information:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required

1+ year customer service experience preferred
