Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Director of Marketing to lead our marketing team in Canada. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing plans that drive profitable growth across a portfolio of leading exterior siding and windows and doors product lines.
This role requires a deep understanding of demand generation, channel marketing and brand strategy that drives alignment with business unit, functional and corporate priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading marketing teams and delivering measurable business impact across a variety of customer segments, including retailers, specialty dealers, builders and contractors in both new construction and renovation markets.
This position has a hybrid work arrangement with a preferred location in GTA, Ontario or Calgary Alberta. It requires up to 25% travel to various markets, company and customers locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership
- Develop and articulate a compelling marketing vision aligned with company goals.
- Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing plans across all channels, driving individual brands growth and cross-selling opportunities across our product categories.
- Help identify opportunities for profitable growth, including but not limited to new categories, markets, geographies, products.
- Directs marketing investments fostering a culture of ROI based decision, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while achieving desired outcomes.
- Inspire, mentor and grow a team of marketing professionals. Fosters a culture of creativity and continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas and approaches.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales, product and executive leadership, customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Demand Generation
- Direct the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels to drive pipeline growth
- Oversee marketing launches, campaigns, and calendars, while driving consistency between national and local demand generation programs to optimize conversions and customer experience.
- Develop marketing automation and CRM tools to optimize lead acquisition and conversion.
- Align closely with sales to ensure marketing efforts support revenue goals.
- Channel & Partner Marketing
- Build and scale marketing programs tailored to channel partners, including retailers and specialty dealers.
- Develop targeted campaigns, enablement tools, and go-to-market strategies that drive sell-through, brand visibility and loyalty.
- Use market insights and segmentation to tailor messaging and offers for each audience.
- Track and optimize channel performance and partner engagement.
- Content Development
- Oversee the creation, curation, and distribution of high-quality, engaging content that aligns with brand positioning and sales objectives, including social media strategies maximizing followership, engagement and brand flexibility.
- Research
- Gather, purchase and commission market research data to understand consumer behavior, preferences, and trends as well as the competitive landscape, using insights to tailor marketing efforts effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of creating and executing successful integrated marketing strategies driving demand across various channels.
- Strong understanding of the construction materials ecosystem in Canada.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing initiatives and lead, inspire and focus a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
