Job Description

  • Monitor and coordinate vehicle or service operations using dispatch software or communication systems.

  • Assign and schedule routes or calls for service based on urgency, availability, and efficiency.

  • Track and document the location, status, and performance of city vehicles or field personnel.

  • Maintain clear and continuous communication with drivers, field staff, supervisors and customers.

  • Handle emergency and non-emergency calls, relaying critical information quickly and accurately.

  • Respond to delays, breakdowns, or incidents and adjust plans as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation for compliance and record-keeping.

  • Provide support and direction to drivers, contractors, or service crews in the field.

  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide service updates, and resolve concerns in a professional and courteous manner.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

  • Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly.

  • Familiarity with city geography and municipal services is a plus.

  • Availability to work onsite, including weekends or holidays, if required
