Job Description

 EXTRUSION SUPERVISOR

Silver Line Windows & Doors in Lithia Springs, GA is the #1 manufacture of vinyl windows and doors.  We were recently acquired by Ply Gem and NCI Building Systems, now called Cornerstone Building Brands, which positions us as the largest integrated manufacturer of metal building products for the commercial & residential market. Also, we have over 22,000 employees across 80 manufacturing, distribution and office locations in North America.

 

Responsible for adhering to Extrusion schedule efficiently and meet rates daily.  Train and develop Extrusion staff in the window manufacturing process.  Enforce Company policies and procedures regarding safety and Company rules. Position reports to the Extrusion Manager/Plant Manager and will communicate daily with Extrusion Staff, Production Staff, Quality Control, Shipping, Sales, Customer Service and Service.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to)

  • Maintain good housekeeping on the line
  • Control scrap vinyl from production at a rate of 6% or lower
  • Must be an effective communicator with all team members
  • Must keep production schedule on time with no open orders
  • Motivate production team to ensure goals are met

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working hands-on in a Extrusion environment
  • Experienced in training and directing personnel
  • Must be able to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Have good analytical skills
  • Be pro-active in problem solving
