Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in a hybrid role based in Cary, NC. This position requires 2 days onsite each week, with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time. You will play a pivotal role in supporting a primarily remote workforce of 200–250 employees across the U.S., covering our Field Services (Stone Category), Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.

About the Role

As the Human Resources Manager, you’ll lead strategic HR initiatives and serve as a trusted partner to leaders across the business. This role is critical in guiding and developing a distributed, indirect workforce and ensuring our company’s people-first culture thrives—no matter the location. You’ll be backed by a centralized shared services model for compliance, leave, and talent acquisition support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion our culture by promoting our core values: Safety, Integrity, and Inclusion.

  • Support and develop a remote workforce spread across a large national coverage area.

  • Partner with leaders to build and develop high-performing, engaged teams.

  • Lead full-cycle HR responsibilities including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.

  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to drive growth, upskilling, and succession planning.

  • Support engagement initiatives, DE&I efforts, and organizational communications across the remote population.

  • Ensure accurate HRIS data and oversee compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

  • Work closely with EHS and Compensation teams to support workplace safety and reward programs.

  • Drive local and national community engagement initiatives through CBB Cares programs.


Qualifications

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 6+ years in progressive HR Management experience in a Manufacturing/Production industry preferred.
  • Proven HR leadership experience, preferably in a multi-site or remote workforce environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of employment and labor laws, such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc
  • Must be knowledgeable of benefits administration, specifically the annual enrollment process, life status changes, COBRA, etc
  • Must have experience with HR systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with proven experience in strategy development and problem solving.
  • Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to management, employees, corporate personnel, and vendors/suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem resolution, negotiating and project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills: and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet established and changing deadlines.
