JOB DETAILS
Base pay starts at $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
1st Shift: Rotating Shifts 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Production Associate is the shift leader in a department who coordinates the daily safety, production coordination, team member motivation, and maintenance planning activities. Including communicating, scheduling, and motivating employees, coworkers, managers, and business partners. Accountable to the department supervisor for successful performance of their respective team goals on their shift. This is a rotating 12-hour shift, always day shift, works 3-4 shifts per week for an average of 42-48 hours a week. Includes required rotating weekend work.
- Must have a full understanding of all aspects of traffic coordination as well as the ability to operate forklifts, cranes, side loaders, and yard trucks to lead and give guidance to the loading team
- Understanding all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment. As well as perform daily equipment inspections
- Good oral and written communication skills for interactions with shop floor, drivers, transportation, brand delivery coordinators and other inter organizational plant personnel
- Reads orders, drawings, equipment calibration documents and is able to adjust these as needed so department is producing quality parts, on time, and at acceptable quantity output.
- Has knowledge of packaging parts using all types of crating and packaging materials, metal bands, covering, or other methods to secure and protect parts in shipment
- Understands actual vs. maximum allowable trailer loads. Must perform dock audits to ensure proper QC of all items loaded
- Gives on the job direction and training to new employees and/or others assisting in department
- Assist with inventory counts as required
- Maintain continuous improvement practices in work area
- May be assigned other projects and duties as designated
- Supports the company core values, goals, & actions to live by
- Attends daily meetings and reporting on performance
- Conducts healthy mentoring and motivation of team
- High School Diploma or Higher Education
- 1yr Experience in Supervision of Employees
- 3 years experience in Manufacturing
- 3 years Minimum Computer Experience (Email, Excel, Word)
- Oracle or Equivalent Experience
