Base pay starts at $15.00 - $16.30 per hour, plus $0.30 per hour shift differential
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM - Monday - Friday
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Loader I position is an entry-level role that is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments. Loaders play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of shipping operations and ensuring that products are delivered and received in good condition.
- Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment
- Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment
- Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load
- Assists with inventory counts as required
- Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area
- May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
- Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment
