Job Description

Base pay rate is $19.00 per hour

1st Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday - Friday

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our production team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining milling equipment to process raw materials into finished products while ensuring quality standards, production goals, and safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor milling machinery and related equipment.
  • Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major equipment problems.
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure products meet specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.

Working Conditions:

  • Industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and moving machinery.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
  • Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
  • Noise level is moderate to loud
