Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday (Work hours may vary depending on production needs)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Industrial Maintenance Lead oversees daily maintenance operations, ensuring that all equipment, systems, and facilities are properly maintained and operating efficiently. This position serves as the technical lead for the maintenance team, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standard.

  • Lead, mentor, and train maintenance technicians and mechanics
  • Assign daily work orders and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate shift coverage and ensure adequate staffing for 24/7 operations (if applicable)
  • Perform and oversee preventive maintenance (PM) schedules on industrial machinery, utilities, and building systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of tools, parts, and materials
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Report recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions to management
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations
  • Work closely with production supervisors, engineering, and quality teams to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action planning
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or facility upgrades

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5–7 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, motors, pumps, conveyors, and automation systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Available for on-call support and overtime as required
  • Certification in Industrial Maintenance (e.g., CMRP, Journeyman License, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of safety systems such as lockout/tagout (LOTO) and confined space procedures
