- Manage and drive the preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal operation status
- Monitor primary KPIs: Safety, Uptime, Cost of Maintenance, Overtime Optimization, and Project Implementations
- Demonstrate expertise in FMEA, digital tools like CMMS, and industrial safety systems
- Exhibit capability for strategic decision-making to improve maintenance performance
- Drive variable cost reduction and productivity projects across the site
- Schedule and perform emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance
- Ensure machinery preparation and setup for production runs
- Assign work orders to the team for timely maintenance and service
- Enforce safety rules and precautions for hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical apparatus
- Evaluate machinery and facilities, recommending improvements and upgrades
- Review maintenance logs for timely and efficient work completion
- Partner with plant leadership to identify major repairs or additions needed
- Maintain continuous improvement efforts in the work area
- Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
- Hire, supervise, evaluate, and manage staff to meet performance goals
- Develop and train employees, conduct evaluations, and hold safety and production meetings
- Address urgent maintenance issues promptly, even if disruptive
- Apply knowledge and understanding of safety processes and regulations
- Address unsafe acts and conditions
- Administer policies fairly and consistently, providing coaching and corrective action
- Promote company goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Collaborate with production departments for timely work order completion
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years related work experience in a maintenance function, with at least 3 years at the leadership level.
- Proficiency in resolving unexpected events and circumstances
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
- Team leadership and people management skills
- Effective communication, time management, and critical thinking skills
- Relevant certifications in electrical, mechanical, and maintenance skills
Preferences
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Trade certifications for electrical and mechanical systems
