Scope of Work:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees a variety of functions such as equipment installations, repairs, or modification of equipment for generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy in the manufacturing facility. Theay are also responsible for scheduling coaching and directing the work of others
Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Schedules & provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Ensures the preparation and set up of machinery for scheduled production runs
- Assigns work orders to team for timely required maintenance and service
- Knows and enforces all safety rules and precautions necessary for working with and around hydraulic, mechanical and electrical apparatus
- Ability to work on highly technical or involved projects (such as new machine evaluation and installs)
- Constantly evaluates the state of the machinery and building and makes recommendations for improvement and upgrades
- review maintenance logs to ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Partners with plant leadership identifying major repairs or additions needed withing he facility
- Maintains continuous improvement efforts in work area
- Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
- Hires, supervises, evaluates and replaces staff as required to meet performance goals
- Develops and trains employees for increasing responsibilities, conducts periodic evaluations and holds safety and production meetings daily
- Readily addresses any urgent maintenance issues, even if it disrupts the regular workflow
- Apply knowledge and understanding of all safety processes and regulations
- Address all unsafe acts and conditions in accordance with established policies, procedures and historical precedence
- Provides coaching and counselling to associates and deliver corrective action as needed
- Promotes overall goals of company in safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Collaborates with the production departments to ensure the timely completion of work orders
- Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS:
- Must demonstrate proficiency in resolving unexpected events and circumstance
- Experience with Electrical, mechanical & structural systems
- Team leadership and people management skills
Education/ Additional Info:
- High School Diploma or recognized equivalent
- 2-Year associate degree or bachelor's degree in related field preferred but not required
- Trade certifications for electrical, mechanical systems
- Minimum of (5) five years related work experience in a maintenance function, with at least two years at the leadership level

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Identify, organize and assign tasks to hourly facility maintenance team, ensuring task completion to prescribed standard, accurately, efficiently, and on time. Build, refine, coach and implement plant reliability program to include Predictive and Preventative maintenance systems. Organize, Identify, develop and manage facility new equipment installations and projects pertaining to overall facility, infrastructure and equipment reliability

- Lifting Capacity- Ability to lift up to 30LBS
- Mobility- Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.
- Exposure- Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, in non-climate controlled environment
- Noise tolerance- High noise levels (hearing protection required in manufacturing areas)
