Job Description: The Plant Floor MES Machine Interface Trainer will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the interface between MES software and plant floor machinery. This position requires substantial experience in manufacturing, with a particular focus on window manufacturing, and a solid understanding of the physical plant floor environment. The ideal candidate will have a robust engineering background and be adept at integrating MES systems with machine operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the integration of MES software with plant floor machinery to ensure seamless operation and data flow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement machine interface solutions that enhance manufacturing processes.
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for MES machine interfaces, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Analyze and optimize machine data collection and reporting to improve manufacturing performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians and support staff in maintaining and improving MES machine interfaces.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including interface configurations, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices for plant floor operations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design and implement improvements in machine interfaces and production processes.
- Lead Training Classes on A&W Cantor machine interfaces for all applicable plant equipment.
- Ability to travel 25%

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on window manufacturing.
- Extensive experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software and machine interface management.
- Strong understanding of plant floor operations and physical machinery.
- Engineering experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with specific MES systems and machine interfaces used in window manufacturing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in integrating and troubleshooting machine interfaces with MES software.
