JOB DETAILS

Pay: $20.00 - 25.00

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Painters are responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including set up, operation, inspection, and material handling activities. Painters are expected to work in a safe, productive and cooperative manner in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands policies and procedures.

• Quality Control: Inspecting paint finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards. 

• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment. 

• Safety: Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear. 

• Material Management: Mixing, matching, and managing inventory of paints, solvents, and other materials. 

• Production Processes: Understanding and following manufacturing specifications and processes. 

• Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing issues related to the painting process. 

• Inventory Control: Tracking daily usage of paints, thinners, and other solvents. 

• Paint Application: Applying paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools.
• Additional Duties: Complete all tasks as assigned by department leadership 

• Previous manufacturing and/or painting experience preferred
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require
• Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance
• Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis 
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people
• Extensive standing, frequent bending, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking
• Required personal protective equipment, overhead crane, carts, dollies and some hand tools
• Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
