Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $20.00 per hour

1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (hours may vary depending on operations)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order Management:
    • Acts on order releases and exception messages from the company system
    • Processes XDA releases and updates material production requirements in MES
    • Interfaces with inventory control for scheduling and availability
    • Responds to termination and cancellation requests from Sales
  • Production Planning and Management:
    • Assists in planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations
    • Analyzes sales order releases in terms of capacity planning and material requirements
    • Orders floor stock with shelf-life for production
    • Reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process
    • Releases production orders for materials and purchases
  • Collaboration and Additional Responsibilities:
    • Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, purchasing, and supervisors for material status and production planning
    • Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments
    • Manages special projects as designated by the Plant Manager
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety in the workplace
  • Serve as a positive role model consistent with Cornerstone Building Brands Mission, Vision and Core Values
  • Provide cost saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste
  • Must be willing/able to work overtime
  • Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned
  • Team player and keeping safety first

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a production planning/materials controls function or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Some knowledge of manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must have basic Microsoft knowledge
  • Lifting Capacity – ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Mobility – prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.
  • Exposure – moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment
  • Noise Tolerance – high noise levels

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
