DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Training Specialist you’ll have the opportunity to provide expertise and administrative guidance & training to all associates. You will engage in the delivery of accurate and timely reporting of HR data and associate employment information, as well as training data to the HR Manager, Plant management. You must be proactive, assertive, highly organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be process oriented and results driven for HR KPI’s and also have the ability to effectively handle a diversified, non-routine workday along with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Responsible for personal safety as well as the promotion of, involvement in, and enforcement of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) efforts at this facility
- This includes complying with all EHS policies or regulations set forth by CBB and/or various governmental agencies
- As a Production Trainer, you would be responsible for assisting new employees as they join the company, and help them learn policies, explain duties, plan to join dates, and complete necessary paperwork
- Communicating company policies, including dress code, scheduling, and parking information
- Designing employee welcome kits
- Processing paperwork, like tax documents, employee contacts and nondisclosure agreements
- Delivering presentations or demonstrations for new hires
- Ensuring completion of onboarding and training processes
- Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
- As a training specialist, you would be responsible for assisting with the TWI-JI/JR programs from writing job breakdowns, training to job breakdowns as well as tracking
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
- Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
- Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results.
- Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years experience at Simonton Windows or equivalent outside experience in a leadership/supervisory role
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of MS Office tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
- Experience on LMS
