The QA Supervisor contributes, through precision and expertise, to achieving quality and service standards and, consequently, to meeting CBB’s strategic objectives.
In addition, this role manages the assigned team to ensure part quality and provides solutions to problems in order to guarantee compliance with customer requirements and established quality guidelines.
The QA Supervisor has the authority to ensure product requirements are met and holds delegated responsibility to do so.
This role also has the authority to stop production and withhold material shipments when necessary to correct quality issues.
Finally, the QA Supervisor is responsible for all activities related to meeting the department’s objectives, as well as those impacting overall plant operations.
The Quality Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring compliance with product and service quality standards, directly contributing to the achievement of CBB’s strategic objectives. This role leads the QA team, guarantees customer requirements are met, and has the authority to stop production or shipments to address and resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure completion of assigned tasks by Quality Inspectors across different areas.
Provide support and technical guidance to inspectors.
Supervise and monitor the quality management system.
Manage human and material resources within the department.
Prepare and participate in quality meetings.
Develop, implement, and track corrective actions for identified or reported issues (in-process, dock audit, and warranty).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality assurance and control systems.
Verify audit results for processes and finished products.
Oversee verification and internal release of finished products (PT).
Assign and follow up on LPA (Layered Process Audits).
Manage department metrics, including SPC, scrap reduction, process efficiency, dock audits, tool calibration, and rejected products.
Master and ensure compliance with Quality Inspector responsibilities.
Follow up and close PDCA initiatives assigned to the QA department.
Proven experience in Quality departments (2+ years).
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Internal audit experience (2+ years).
Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) (2+ years).
Proficiency in measurement instrumentation.
Advanced interpretation of technical drawings/blueprints.
Experience leading or supervising QA teams.
Conversational English
Experience in scrap reduction initiatives.
Familiarity with PDCA methodology and continuous improvement practices.
Experience with dock audits.
Knowledge of tool calibration and LPA inspections.
Strong leadership, accountability, and clear communication skills.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
