    Job Description

    Develop and deliver training curriculum for instructor-led classes for product installation, business development and product knowledge.  Respond to product related inquiries from internal and external sources.  Develop training content and tools for assigned category.  Collaborate internally to foster company growth among Sales personnel.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  
    • Develop, schedule and deliver training curriculum for instructor-led classes for product installation, business development and product knowledge for internal and external audiences
    •  
    • Respond to homeowner, trade, and internal customer inquiries.  Ensure training materials are readily available
    •  
    • Assist with the HouseWorkx training programs, including working on the truck for larger shows and assisting with the annual development of the design work
    •  
    • Plan, schedule and conduct product training programs
    •  
    • Collaborate with business associates to develop product and installation instructions for new and existing products for assigned category
    •  
    • Support on-line training programs and resources
    •  
    • Work with all brands, sales, and marketing to drive traffic, education, and selling opportunities for continued growth and customer conversions
    •  
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    •  
    • Serve as internal subject matter expert for assigned category for all aspects of training initiatives
    •  
    • Represent warranty policy
    •  
    • Support Territory Sales Managers to build/grow sales
    •  
    • Comply with Company safety policy

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development, Construction Management or equivalent combination of education/experience required.

    Experience

    • Minimum of five years experience in a building materials sales or training role.  Learning Management System experience preferred.

    Skills/Abilities

    • Ability to develop and successfully present training programs.  Must become a VSI-certified   trainer within first year. 
    • Should possess excellent organizational and creative skills and a high level of initiative.
    • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Excellent collaboration and team building skills. Thorough knowledge of and skill in using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Knowledge of vinyl siding products and industry strongly preferred. Must be a self-starter and have ability to work with limited supervision. 
    • Highly organized and customer-focused.  Demonstrated construction skills to build training/demonstration walls. 
    • Can lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 
    • Licensed driver.
    • Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).

    Other

    • Position requires travel of 20-30% and may vary throughout the year.

    "The total target compensation for this role (base + sales incentives) is $85,000 - $100,000. All full-time positions come with comprehensive benefits starting on day 1, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k, and PTO.
