Job Description

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must be willing/able to work mandatory overtime and occasional Saturdays.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules.
  • Reading and understanding work orders to be processed.
  • Understanding counting by weights
  • Using tape measure
  • Reading fractions and decimals.
  • Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane.
  • Ability to work outdoors year round
  • Ability to bend and lift a maximum of 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and observation.
  • General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
  • Ability to work on feet for long hours
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding and adherence of safety protocols and requirements
  • Provided Personal protective equipment use is mandatory and expected to be maintained by the employee
  • Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • General Labor within all aspects of the shipping department
  • General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
  • Loading material via forklift, crane, and manual loading, will train
  • Operating a Yard truck to transport material around the facility
  • Customer Service
  • Provide a positive attitude in a team-oriented setting

Education and Experience

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Previous experience in a related area is preferred, not required will train.
  • Must have basic Microsoft knowledge.
  • Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine, and various pneumatic equipment preferred, not required will train.
