Job Description

The Shipping Supervisor - Warehouse oversees outbound warehousing, packaging, loading, and Arpac operations through Leads and Associates. This role ensures on-time, accurate shipments while maintaining appropriate staffing levels and driving safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The Supervisor partners with the Logistics Manager and cross-functional teams to meet operational and customer service goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by conducting meetings, ensuring training compliance, and partnering with EHS&S to meet performance targets.
  • Lead daily operations for Arpac, Shipping/Warehouse, and Packaging to achieve productivity, quality, and service goals.
  • Ensure shipments are completed on time, in full, and accurately.
  • Coordinate with customer service, sales, production, and shipping office to meet customer expectations.
  • Balance workloads across shifts to adapt to changing production demands and priorities.
  • Supervise shipping expediters and will-call personnel, as applicable.
  • Manage administrative tasks including payroll approval, performance evaluations, communications, and tracking operational metrics.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, oversee cycle counts/physical inventories, and manage ERP transactions and adjustments.
  • Ensure proper ordering and availability of department supplies.
  • Drive process improvements and maintain effective procedures and workplace standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with non-palletized, single-unit handling preferred.
  • Forklift experience required; certification and experience with combi lifts preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Ability to safely operate high-capacity forklifts (10,000+ lb).

Additional Information

The pay range for this full-time position is $82,000 - 87,000 per year + 5% STIP + medical, dental, and vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
