The Sr Analyst, Accounts Payable (AP) is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of vendor records in the organization’s financial and procurement systems. This role ensures compliance with internal controls, external regulations, and supports timely and efficient vendor payment processing. The Analyst will act as a liaison between internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure the integrity of master data. In addition, this individual will support special projects such as system integrations, data cleanup & standardization activities, as well as support accurate reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure proper data governance by developing, maintaining, and enforcing vendor-related data standards
- Oversee cleansing and standardization of Vendor Master data ensuring process improvement and impact on downstream systems and reporting
- Conduct periodic audits and cleanup of vendor master records to ensure data integrity.
- Perform sanctions screening (OFAC, SDN lists) and support due diligence requirements.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding vendor data, setup status, or payments.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Procurement, Legal, and Compliance teams to align on policies.
- Generate reports related to vendor master metrics, audit findings, or exception tracking.
- Partner with AP leadership, finance, procurement, and other relevant departments to support business objectives and resolve AP-related issues.
- Support process improvements and documentation of SOPs related to vendor data management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent business experience
- 7+ years of experience in vendor maintenance, master data, accounts payable, or procurement support
- Familiarity with various ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE, Ivalua).
- Experience with global vendor setup and international regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management processes and data governance principles.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Problem-solving mindset.
