Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner schedules projects for manufacture and assigns demand to assigned fabrication plants and reports to the Supply Chain organization.  This role is critical to setting up manufacturing facilities to excel at delivering value to our customers as it negotiates and balances capacity utilization against customer project timelines and upstream handoffs. The role may require planning multiple plants pending role rotations.

Responsibilities

  • Review of un-scheduled project reporting.
  • Confirm project is ready for first-pass scheduling.
  • Compare project demands to network capacities and apply production, loading, & shipping dates.
  • Collaborate with Commercial organization on handling exceptions.
  • Maintain level scheduled production volumes within planning horizon.
  • Collaborate with other planners to execute cross-network supply and balance LT.

Qualifications

Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience required.
  • Team-orientated contributor; seamlessly support individual and team objectives
  • Ability to establish priority amongst multiple demands to ensure the ‘right work’ is being executed
  • Strong communication skills to support effective relationships within planning and supply chain, upstream with commercial, and downstream with manufacturing.
  • Excel proficient, VLOOKUP, building and managing pivot tables and large datasets, etc.
  • Exposure to Kaizen / continuous improvement is highly preferable.
  • In lieu of the above, the willingness to work in small teams to analyze and improve workflow and existing standards.
  • Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to spend time on shop floor to understand how work flows through the plants and impact to cycle times.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $65,000-$71,000 annually + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day one + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
