Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $18 per hour

2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, hours may vary depending on operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving and Processing Stock: Unloading deliveries, checking for accuracy, and storing items appropriately
  • Order Fulfillment: Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
  • Inventory Management: Organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring stock levels are adequate, and conducting regular inventory checks
  • Quality Control: Inspecting products for defects and damages, ensuring only quality items are shipped
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to safety and hygiene regulations
  • Serve as a positive role model consistent with Cornerstone Building Brands Mission, Vision and Core Values
  • Provide cost saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste
  • Utilize scanning equipment
  • Must be willing/able to work overtime
  • Team player and keeping safety first
  • Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Experience

    • Previous warehouse experience preferred, especially handling finished goods. 

    • In a window plant, prior experience handling glass or window products is a plus. 

  • Physical Abilities

    • Ability to lift heavy items (often 50‑75+ lbs), sometimes unassisted. 

    • Good stamina: standing, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling for long periods. 

    • Capability to work in variable environmental conditions (temperature extremes, dust, etc.).

  • Safety and Compliance

    • Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols (PPE, handling of fragile/ sharp materials, etc.). 

    • Sometimes specific safety certifications. 

  • Skills

    • Basic ability to read labels, route codes, use measuring tools (tape measure etc.). 

    • Basic computer literacy (data entry, warehouse management systems, scanning units). 

    • Good communication skills; ability to work on a team. 

  • Other Requirements

    • Being 18+ years old in many facilities. 

    • Reliable attendance, punctuality.

    • Occasionally ability to work overtime, weekends, or multiple shifts.
