Job Description

JOB DETAILS 

Pay Range $16-$18 per hour 

Day Shift 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

- Oversee the shipment and receipt of products, materials, and supplies, including preparation of outgoing shipments and receipt of incoming ones.
- Maintain precise inventory records, ensuring accurate documentation of all shipments and verifying contents against records.
- Collaborate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, and vendors to coordinate shipping and receiving processes, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring secure packing and accurate labeling, which may require operating machinery like forklifts.
- Keep daily logs of inventory movements, scanning, and accurate counting, while documenting any damages and reporting discrepancies.
- Promptly report any issues to the supervisor to ensure timely resolution.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean workstation and production area.
- Assist with cycle counts as necessary to support inventory accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with team members to enhance overall operational efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving is advantageous but not required
  • Proficient in operating a forklift and combi lift
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately is crucial
  • Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to stand for long periods is necessary
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills are vital
  • Maintain an organized workspace consistently
  • Must manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  •  Detail Orientation: Strong emphasis on precision to identify inconsistencies in inventory records
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in calculations and data entry tasks
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledgeable in inventory management software and tools
  • Organizational Abilities: Capable of handling multiple responsibilities and prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Communication Proficiency: Effective verbal and written skills for interdepartmental coordination.
  • Educational Background: Generally requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Qualifications: Some roles may favor candidates with an associate degree or higher in logistics or a related field
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Competent in identifying issues and implementing solutions
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively within a team environment
