Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
A welder is a skilled professional responsible for joining metal parts together using high heat to melt and fuse the metals. Welders play a crucial role, ensuring the safety and durability of structures and products.
- Perform basic welding tasks under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding
- Maintain welding equipment and tools
- Ensure safety protocols are followed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques and tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Mobility – Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc
- Exposure – Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment
- Noise Tolerance – High noise levels
