Job description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $17.00 - $19.00

Shift: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for accurately loading customer orders, unloading shipments, and cleanliness of department
  • Ensure that all customer orders are loaded safely, accurately, and timely
  • Receive loading documents for jobs
  • Use forklift to handle heavy weight metal coils
  • Load customer vehicles with panel packs
  • Report inventory levels to management
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
  • This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to company and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Wear the proper protective equipment as required

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where product damage could be considerable
  • Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work
  • Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ambition – Drive to achieve personal advancement
  • Autonomy – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
  • General Tidiness – Ability to keep department and machines clean at all times

  • Working well under pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree
  • 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience driving a forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist”
