Job description
JOB DETAILS
Base pay range is $20.00-23.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team in Salt Lake City. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality through systematic inspection, testing, and documentation of manufacturing processes.
- Perform comprehensive quality inspections and audits at various stages of the manufacturing process
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to conduct product testing and verification
- Document and report quality control findings, maintaining detailed records of inspections and test results
- Identify and report non-conforming products, initiating corrective action procedures
- Collaborate with production teams to implement quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor and validate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Participate in quality-related meetings and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain and organize quality control documentation and records
- Support continuous improvement efforts through data collection and analysis
- Conduct regular calibration checks on measuring equipment
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control environment
- Proficient in using measuring instruments and quality control equipment
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and manufacturing processes
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proven ability to maintain accurate documentation and records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with quality management systems
- Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Capable of standing/walking for extended periods
- Good vision abilities including close inspection and color differentiation
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to manufacturing conditions
- Basic statistical knowledge and data analysis skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
